Asian Ladybug

Still rummaging through the archives for pictures to post. Just to make up for the horror yesterday, here’s a nice, cute ladybug. Also this picture is from the three weeks of summer we got earlier, just like today we got about three hours of sun in the afternoon. Anyway, ladybugs are relevant now, as in Asian Ladybugs, the kind that like to sneak into your walls to hibernate.

A Rose as Nursery

The heat let up just enough for me to cut down a rogue copy of my wild rose bush. After getting my hand stabbed and picking out bits of thorn from my fingers, I’m leaning toward thinking it’s a Prickly Rose.  While I was cutting it down and hacking it up, I found all sorts of curious little treasures stuck to the undersides of  the leaves.
