Bareness

A writer intent Went to the Internet, To give her poor blog a post. But when she got there, The Internet was bare, And so her poor blog had none. And here’s what I was going to write last night:

Golden leaves are falling

The scrape, scrape of raking is ratting down the street. The first leaves are turning, mostly brown so far, but here’s a nice yellow leaf caught in the obliging branches of a bare azalea. And the leaf bag count is two and rising.

Obligatory leaves

It being fall, the leafy colors are all around. Aside from the burning bush, the other bits of red leaves come from the blueberry bushes. What do you know? Just as advertised. But these are lowbush, not highbush blueberries, so they’re not going to be much of a stand-in for any euonymi.
