The promised thunderstorms finally paid off. The cat even came inside and curled up by the window listening to the cooling rain. Just this afternoon, he was sitting in the middle of the catmint, noshing away, while bumblebees buzzed around him. Like these:
I don’t know where this catmint came from. It just popped up on its own, much like the goldenrod it shelters under. Though the cats like it, it doesn’t make them as crazy as catnip, so they allow it to survive uncaged. Makes things a lot easier for the bees!
