Still rummaging through the archives for pictures to post. Just to make up for the horror yesterday, here’s a nice, cute ladybug. Also this picture is from the three weeks of summer we got earlier, just like today we got about three hours of sun in the afternoon. Anyway, ladybugs are relevant now, as in Asian Ladybugs, the kind that like to sneak into your walls to hibernate.
And if that isn’t awful enough, what about their ugly duckling offspring?
The Japanese have a word for it: kimokawaii – so creepy it’s cute. I think ladybug larva look like voracious little red and black alligators.
The ladybugs have been slacking off this year. I never saw more than a couple at a time. I guess my walls are safe.
