Today’s “fun” task was to finally tackle our taxes.
No, it wasn’t.
Today’s fun task was to hack down the deader parts of the butterfly bush, while lots of what sure looked like little reddish brown bees swirled around the dried out buds. Lots of them. I think they’re miner bees, but they didn’t find what they were looking for, so none of them settled down long enough for me to get a clear look.
If they are bees, they showed no interest in the daffodils and early tulips. They seemed more like they were programmed to fly up into flowering tree branches. They won’t be happy until the plum tree blossoms. But when it does, there’s going to be lots of happy bees.
