The post no one will see

snowdropI’m pretty sure no one’s going to see this post unless you know to look for it, just as I’ve been looking for snowdrops in my yard since January. Usually a few show up around Martin Luther King Day, but I didn’t see one this year until the last week of February, jammed in there under my mailbox. Thus, the blurry picture.

I’m just as late starting this blog. I thought that too would sprout in January, but, well, you know…So here I am, a great believer in writing every day. That includes, drafting, editing, getting critiqued, rewriting–I like rewriting way too much, which makes it difficult for me to decide that a story is finished. As of this writing, I have a story making the rounds for the first time in an embarrassing number of years.

And I feel the urge to talk about it. What I’m learning about writing. What books and stories I’ve read. What goofy things my cats are up to. (You knew cats would be in the mix, didn’t you?)

Tomorrow: A blog by any other name would be an engineering tale.

  1. Indulge your embarassing urges. It will give the rest of us something to snicker about behind your back (as well as fodder for future meetings when we run dry of topics).
Good luck with the daily blog – it’s more than I’m willing to commit to. No promises that I’ll be back on anything approaching a regular basis, but I’ll try to read once in awhile.
