Something there is that does not love an onion.
A few months ago, I planted a sprouting onion. About when the garlic started to fall over, checked out the onion, and it had split into three sets. Neat! So I separated them and replanted them. One seems to have disappeared. One sent up green shoots. But this third one keeps popping up as if the earth is spitting it out.
So I replant it.
And something digs it up.
And I replant it.
And something digs it up.
And I replant it in a different spot.
And after a few days, just when I think it’s gonna stay, something digs it up. Why doesn’t the critter just eat it?
Poor little rejected onion.
i can relate

Well, one of the onions is still there. Maybe I’ll get to eat it someday.
