Yet another little black bee turned up in the asters. I have the name of the species, Lasioglossum coriaceum. but that’s it.

And I saw a related Lasioglossum in June. It’s also related to other little black sweat bees, like the Halictus on the butterfly bush last month. And more distantly related to the jewel-like shiny green Agapostemon.
Other than that, I know bee-bupkis. Tiny little black bees contine to ply their tiny little black mysteries.
