
Once again the snow has receded, beaten back by savage wind and rain, and more sprouts pop up their greenness. The alpine strawberries have a new outpost.

And in another corner these fuzzy, spoon-shaped leaves are coming up. It always comes up early in spring and I always forget what exactly it’s called. Some kind of bluet, or centaurea, probably C. montana. Eventually it will put out sprays of alien-looking blue flowers. But first we have to get through the next batch and snow, wind, and rain.
