My moth orchid does not do multitasking. It will send up a flower stem. It will send up a new leaf. But not both.
This year’s flowers have been especially weak. So when the tip of a new leaf appeared even before the flowers drooped, it was as if the plant was saying, I give up. Better flowers next year. I need to leaf.
