This wild fruit tree is getting into the flowering act, too. The flowering and handful of fruits this little tree produced last year is part of why I ordered two domestic apples last fall.
Now there are two sticks of McIntosh and Egremont Russet that I hope will establish themselves this year. They’re even leafing out today! And maybe next year the crabapple and the sweet apples will help pollinate each other.
