As I mentioned before my overall writing goal for 2010 didn’t work out so well: I actually finished fewer stories in 2010 than I did in 2009.
I got distracted by my desire to let my writing loosen up and express a bit of humor. I love it when a story can get me to laugh; in fact, I’m willing to forgive a lot of faults in a story that’s funny. I’ve long felt that the part of me that passes for a sense of humor was a part of me that wasn’t getting on the page. I’ve already been down several blind alleys trying to figure out how to do that.
So my overall goal for 2011 might as well be to get better at writing humor. And considering that this whole post is deathly dull, I already feel like a fool.
