My New Year’s collards harvest was a little late this year, but here it is. There was just enough bare ground to walk on to get up the hill and reach that big collard plant under the pear tree. As I climbed, I’m afraid I didn’t see any of the other plants poking out.
When I got there, the plant looked a bit worn around the edges. I was a little worried about taking any leaves for fear of stressing it just as more snow was coming. But then, I didn’t want to wait much longer for fear of not being able to reach it after the more snow coming covered the ground again. So I took a few.
And the snow? Hardly even worth worrying about.
