Grass is still growing.
Wind is still blowing.
Sun shines, clouds pass.
But the tulips are done showing.
Here’s how they looked just last week, before the petals matured and fell off. Yesterday I went through with the scissors and deadheaded the green seed pods left behind. That way, they concentrate on making good bulbs and big flowers for next year instead of putting all their energy into making seeds.
That’s why I take lots of pictures while they last.
