It’s a while since I punted. I was up late, reading, and suddenly it just didn’t seem important to scrabble out a post before midnight. What can I say?
The garden doesn’t punt. In fact, I think there’s going to be a lot of garden posts this month. I’ve discovered three more species of bees in the ground. An aggressive carpenter bee is pouncing on females and ladybugs are fornicating on the plum tree. The blueberries are flowering so freely, there might even be a crop to protect from birds this year. And just today, I tracked a wide-ranging sweet rosy scent to what looks like a volunteer apple tree. I can hardly keep up!
